Judging Criteria

These are the official judging rubrics that will be used to score the one-page submissions and the final presentations, respectively. You can download the one-page rubric here and the finalist rubric here.

Pitch Deck Requirements

Problem / Solution (5 points possible)

  • The problem is clearly defined
  • The solution presented is a creative and original idea
  • The solution proposes to have a significant and meaningful impact on solving the problem
  • Clearly articulates the “why?” behind the idea
  • The problem is relevant, and the solution is feasible

Market / Value Proposition (5 points possible)

  • The target market is clearly defined
  • The market is viable and can sustain growth
  • The solution provides value to the buyer and end user
  • A clear advantage over the competition is presented

Supporting Information (5 points possible)

  • The presentation is captivating and memorable
  • The details are clearly presented
  • You are “sold” on the idea being a success

The Idea (5 points possible)

  • The problem is clearly identified and related to education
  • The solution presented is a creative and original idea
  • The solution proposes to have a significant and meaningful impact on solving the problem

Supporting Information (5 points possible)

  • The target market is clearly defined
  • The market is viable and can sustain growth
  • The individual or team clearly articulated their expertise

Quality (5 points possible)

  • The details and information are presented clearly
  • The summary is professionally written
  • You feel compelled to hear more about the idea
